A Little Small Talk
There are certain small things that people do that aren’t universal. Once again, there are differences in what’s common depending on where you are. If you don’t live somewhere where small talk is as common as in the United States, it’s easy to see how it would surprise you.
Not to mention, as this person pointed out, sometimes it’s how common the sheer amount of small talk that people can make that’s so surprising.
