Mac Miller
The American rapper and record producer Mac Miller embarked on his hip-hop journey in the Pittsburgh music scene at the tender age of fifteen, back in 2007. In 2014, he inked a deal with the major label Warner Bros. Records, releasing four studio albums under their banner: GO OD AM, The Divine Feminine, Swimming, and the posthumously released Circles. Throughout his career, Miller grappled with addiction and substance abuse, themes that frequently surfaced in his lyrics.
Tragically, on September 7, 2018, Miller passed away at the age of 26 in his home due to an accidental drug overdose involving cocaine, fentanyl, and alcohol. His work on Swimming earned him a posthumous Grammy Award nomination for Best Rap Album.
